My artistic vision is to create images that deal with the interaction between the real and the imaginary.

The inspiration when making a painting is in the process itself, working with space and light, slowly building up the image by several layers of paint and textures.

Originally a printmaker, I developed my painting style along with my printmaking techniques, expressing a strong interest in both media through my work.

My interest and background in printmaking greatly influenced my painting process and over time I developed my painting style to include elements of printing, without including any printmaking techniques. It was in abstract and three-dimensional painting, however, that I discovered my most powerful and complete means of expression.

My most recent paintings are based on three-dimensional geometrical and abstract forms and shapes which have been created by manipulating light, tone and shadow through several layers of paint to create an illusion of space and depth.

The geometrical modelled forms are composed into a series of three-dimensional surrealistic landscapes, which express my interest in the surreal and unusual
